Methods of Breathing
- Natural - abdomen expands during inhalation, contracts during exhalation自然呼吸
- Alternate - inhale into the chest, exhale into the lower abdomen 逆式呼吸
- Position of chi center (丹田) - 2.5 inches below navel
Bodily postures
- Neck always straightened
- Keep the back and pelvis straight when in low stances
- Keep the body upright when performing standing techniques
Other bodily postures
- Bend your knees naturally when doing stances
- Chest in
- Shoulders relaxed
- Elbows sunk low
